1948-09-01Leonard Morrow14-2-1
Auditorium, Oakland, California, USAWTKO410
referee: Johnny Lotsey
Unfortunately a detached retina brought Foxworth's short, but sensational, career to a premature ending after the Morrow victory. Morrow took a terrible beating in the third round. The bout was stopped in the fourth round after Leoanrd, stretched across the middle strand of the ring ropes, slid to his knees to take an eight-count. Morrow suffered a damaged eye in the first round and it had swollen shut by the fourth.

"What a pasting (Foxworth) received until the seventh round when he stopped Charley Banks...Bob, not Charley, looked like the beaten warrior when it was all over." (The Ring, October 1948, page 54.
