| 1938-06-08 | Jimmy Adamick | 46-1-1 | Mills Stadium, Chicago, Illinois, USA | NC | NC | 2 | 10 | |||||||||||
| Trammell was belted around the ring in the first round, but lashed out with a right cross at the start of the second, knocking Adamick sprawling, instead of pursuing his advantage he backed away. By the time Trammell resumed punching, Adamick had recovered and Trammell kept backing away. Adamick finally floored him with what appeared to be a glancing blow and the crowd started booing. Originally ruled a KO win for Adamick. On July 5th the Illinois State Athletic Commission suspended Trammell for five years and Adamick for one year. Three of Trammell's management team and the promoter were also suspended for five years. | ||||||||||||||||||
