"The main event of the evening, Andy Divodi vs. Eddie Moore, ended with Moore flat on his back in the middle of the ring soon after he had begged Referee Frankie Neal to permit him to quit. A grazing right to the chin did the trick, although there was some question as to whether the blow actually had landed. Moore was far from being in Andy's class, Divodi being the master of the situation at all times. Moore started in with a rushing type of battle, but opengloved slaps on the back were the extent of the damage he did. In the sixth round, Moore went down after a smart clip to the chin and took the count of nine on his knees. He did not want to start the seventh round, but Neal insisted. Moore's tactics made it a little more difficult for Divodi to show his real form but he had no difficulty in meeting Eddie's rushes and there never was any question as to who would be returned the winner." Walker was warned four times by McGrath for hitting low before Divodi fell to the canvas in the fourth. The state athletic commission ruled the two had to meet again the following week, or Walker would be suspended indefinitely. "I am convinced there was something wrong about that affair," Dr. Harry W. Martin, commission chairman said. "Walker fouled repeatedly and Divodi made no real effort to fight."
