Abe Matin was a boxing manager who started as a manager in Portland during the mid 1910s, managing the Gordon brothers, Abe and Sammy. Matin eventually began managing fighters from throughout the United States. He also managed Charley Belanger, Jimmy Sacco, and Eddie Gorman, and others.

During the early 1920s, while handling fighters in the Bay Area, he started a riot in a San Jose ring, getting himself barred indefinitely in that town.

Matin passed away in 1930, after a long illness.
