2008-09-27 : Andre Berto 145½ lbs beat Steve Forbes 147 lbs by UD in round 12 of 12

Summary

Forbes was competitive in the early rounds of the fight. He was able to match Berto’s speed and what he lacked in power he made up for in savvy. Forbes’ blend of skill and guts forced Berto to make adjustments by the middle rounds. Berto threw more combinations than usual and by the late rounds, the bout was no longer competitive. Berto was able to impose his will on Forbes once his speed was gone.
