2010-05-29 : Luis Alberto Lazarte 107 lbs beat Carlos Tamara 108 lbs by SD in round 12 of 12

Lazarte slightly outworked Tamara with overhand rights to the head and left hooks to the body in a close bout. Tamara had height and reach advantage over the smaller Lazarte, but appeared upset due a cut over his left eye from an accidental head butt in the first round. His corner cut man controlled the cut for the rest of the bout, but Tamara never quite regained his momentum. Rounds 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 appeared to be won by Lazarte. 3 and 6 were won by Tamara with a good jab. Rounds 2 and 9 were close. Lazarte scored at will in the final three rounds. Tamara tried to go after Lazarte aggressively, but Lazarte finished the last three rounds strongly to win this bout. Lazarte is from Buenos Aires, where this bout was held.
