Frank (Doc) Bagley

Frank (Doc) Bagley managed such boxers as Lew Chester, and Willie Jackson for part of 1922. Jackson severed ties with Bagley and then became managed by Sammy Goldman. (New York Times, October 24, 1922).

Bagley also trained World Champions Gene Tunney and Jimmy McLarnin.

According to a June 23, 1942 news item with a New York dateline in the June 23, 1942 edition of the San Antonio Light on the newspaper database of, Frank "Doc" Bagley died at his home at the age of 58. He spoke and looked like a college professor.
