Dr. George Ginter is an anesthesiologist in Lexington, Kentucky and the current Chairman of the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority.

Ginter compiled an amateur record of 30-30 between 1974 and 1979. He quit boxing while attending the University of Kentucky's College of Medicine from 1980 to 1983, but judged and refereed amateur shows and was in charge of Kappa Alpha's boxing competitions.

While studying anesthesiology at the University of Louisville, Ginter turned professional and went 5-0.

Ginter has promoted numerous professional boxing matches and has operated an amateur program in Lexington for many years.
