According to the Dec. 28, 1915 Everett Tribune (Everett, WA, USA), George Little ("The Diamond King") had been Jack Johnson's first manager. He had lost $300,000 due to a gambling lifestyle.
The March 18, 1931 obituary in the New York Times reported that he had died penniless and alone in Chicago. Little had "boasted that he owned $500,00 worth of diamonds" in his heyday. He had also owned a cafe on the Chicago Loop.
