Grady Brewer was knocked down in the second round and behind on points, before Cuban Giorbis Barthelemy self-destructed in the fifth and was disqualified for biting the right side of Brewer's neck. Brewer who struggled early was dropped with a left hand in the second. In Round 4, Brewer stepped up his aggression and looked to land power shots. Barthelemy was deducted one point in the round for striking Brewer in the legs and causing Brewer to go to the mat. In the fifth, Barthelemy bit Brewer on the neck while the two were clinched. The referee disqualified Barthelemy.
