Name: Harry Cohen
Hometown: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Boxing Record: click
Cohen won the Australian amateur bantamweight title in 1936 at the age of 17 shortly before he turned pro. Cohen won the Australian bantamweight championship in 1942, and the Australian featherweight championship in 1943. About half of this record taken from an LA84 journal article by Anthony Hughes on Harry Cohen and his boycott of the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Hughes researched much of Cohen's professional record and printed it in the footnotes to the article. The article was printed in LA84's annual journal for 2000. It seems at this time that Cohen was inactive for most of 1939 and all of 1940 due to the outbreak of WW2.
