Sanderline Williams began his career 4-0 before suffering a unanimous decision loss to Andre Cooper. He won the Ohio Middleweight Title in 1987 and fought for both the NABF Middleweight and Super Middlewight Titles; losing each on points. Toward the end of his career he came a journeyman opponent and fought an impressive list including Lindell Holmes, Herol Graham, Dwight Davison, Iran Barkley, Frank Tate, Merqui Sosa, Nigel Benn, Reggie Johnson, and Gerald McClellan. He fought James Toney twice in 1990 and earned a draw in their first meeting.
