Miller became part of boxing lore on November 06, 1993, when during the 7th round of the WBA/IBF Heavyweight Title fight between Evander Holyfield and Riddick Bowe in Las Vegas, he paraglided onto the ring apron with a large fan strapped to his back. He became entangled in the ring ropes and was then jumped upon and beaten unconscious by fans and members of Bowe's entourage. (Miller would later say, "It was a heavyweight fight, and I was the only guy who got knocked out."). The fight was delayed for over 20 minutes.

About a year later, Miller would parachute onto the roof of Buckingham Palace. He was arrested, fined and banned from England forever.

In September 2002, Miller committed suicide, on a remote Alaskan hiking trail, by asphyxiating himself with a nylon strap tied to a tree. His body was discovered by hunters almost 6 months later.
