- Kameda is currently one of the most popular boxers in the world based on TV ratings. His fights draw over 50% of Japanese homes. Outside of Japan, Kameda is not as known however.
- Kyoei Promotions paid Green Tsuda Promotions $300,000 in exchange for the right to promote Kameda in 2005 (reference).
