Louis F. Moret is a boxing judge and referee from the state of California. Although he primarily works in his home state, he has also refereed bouts in Mexico, France, Hungary, Germany, the United Kingdom, South Africa, China, South Korea, Thailand, and Belgium.

Outside of boxing, Moret, who has a doctorate in public administration from the University of La Verne, is also a graduate of Whittier College and the University of Southern California. Has worked for much of his career in administration, specializing in private-sector management practices to government entities. Moret has also worked as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University and was a member of the Democratic National Committee from 1981-93, of which was the chair of the Hispanic caucus from 1982-84.   • James Toney vs. Fres Oquendo for the NABO and IBA Heavyweight Titles. - Toney won via debatable split decision. Moret deducted a point from Oquendo in the eighth round after a quenstionable rabbit punch was ruled.
  • Cristian Mijares vs. Vic Darchinyan for the WBC, WBA, IBF Super Flyweight Titles. - Darchinyan claimed his third and fourth world titles.

  • Lennox Lewis vs. Vitali Klitschko for the WBC and IBO Heavyweight Titles. - Lewis defended his titles when a bad cut to Klitschko's left eye forced a stoppage after the sixth round. It was the final fight of Lewis's professional career.
