Lou Stillman

Also known as Lou Ingber

Lou Ingber (Stillman) took over ownership of the famous Marshall Stillman's Gym in New York City in the early 1900s, at the urging of Alpheus Geer and Hiram Mallinson. ("Marshall" and "Stillman" were the names of Geer's grandparents.) He found it easier to change his last name to "Stillman" rather than to change the name of the highly-popular training facility.
