  • Located in the Central Avenue area of Los Angeles, an African-American community, this boxing club started circa 1921 and continued to present cards up to the 1930s. Most of the fighters who boxed here were black, although other nationalities came here as well. One of its earliest promoters/matchmakers was the well-known Fred Winsor, per the June 30, 1923 Los Angeles Times.
