Biography
Known as "Sad Sam", for his somber expression, Sam Ichinose is generally regarded as the most important boxing promoter of Honolulu, HI, USA. He began his career in 1929, continuing until 1982. He managed or promoted nearly every top boxer to fight out of Hawaii, including Dado Marino, Carl (Bobo) Olson, Ben Villaflor, and Andrew Ganigan.
