2008-12-13 : Shawn Estrada 165 lbs beat Shaun Spaid 164 lbs by TKO at 0:43 in round 1 of 4

Aired on: Versus

In a nationally televised opening bout on the Toney-Oquendo fight card, 2008 Middleweight Olympian Shawn Estrada of East Los Angeles, California, went to 2-0, 2 kayos in the first round, with a questionable stoppage of of Shaun 'Boom-Boom' Spaid of Charleston, South Carolina, now 3-3 with 2 kayos. Both fighters appeared in top condition. At the opening bell, Estrada attacked Spaid with nonstop jab flurries and put Spaid down three times in the first 43 seconds. All three knockdowns appeared to be scored by unintentional punches which landed in the area behind the head, and loser Spaid was clearly upset after the stoppage by what he perceived as deliberate fouls. His corner could appeal the result. However Spaid appeared to be completely mismatched once ex-Olympian Estrada went on the offensive, and was never in the bout.
