1940 AAU

The New York Times reports, that Paul Matsumoto beat Moyer in the final April 11, 1940, at the National AAU in Boston. (135 lbs.) Robinson did not win a National AAU Title that year. Robinson won the National Golden Gloves in New York in March 1940, if he defeated Moyer there, it was not in the semifinal or final (he beat Tony Ancuna).--Matt Tegen 18:12, 29 Sep 2005 (CDT)
