Tom Louttit is primarily known in boxing history as a long-time, popular referee in Portland, OR, USA--from at least 1921 to the early 1940s. He was also prominently involved in the amateur boxing game in Portland during the same period. Reportedly, he was an outstanding javelin thrower in his younger days. And he had been a member of the Multnomah Athletic Club as a boxer in 1916. 
He also refereed college football in the Pacific Coast Conference. He was also a contributing writer for the Portland publication Sports Reporter.
