Bout Summary

The opening round saw Thompson lead the action with slow but moderately powerful shots. In Round 2, Thompson began to pour it on against a lethargic Harris, who was clearly faster than his opponent but simply was not throwing. A right hand to the temple sent Harris down at 2 minutes into Round 2. He made it to his feet and action continued. Harris's lack of output continued into Round 3 and a lumbering left-right combination again sent him to the mat. He again got up and was allowed to continue. Later in the round, with Harris being almost wholly defensive and appearing to have no interest in competing, the referee waved an end to the bout.
