Amanda Serrano becomes the UBF's First World Champion
On February 16th, 2013, Puerto Rican female star Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano (17-1-1, 12 KO's) was once again crowned world champion, capturing the WIBA and UBF featherweight titles with a first round knockout of Wanda Pena (8-5, 2 KO's) at Gran Arena del Cibao, Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. After the bout Serrano promised that she will be much more active and feels that her manager and new promoter are the team she needs to solidify her standing as one boxing's greatest female fighters.
Omar Henry Becomes the First UBF Honorary World Champion
The family on the late unbeaten light middleweight contender Omar Henry was presented with the UBF's first honorary world championship belt as Honorary UBF World Light Middleweight 2154 pound champion through Illinois UBF Official Richard Spilotro. The distinction will be denoted on the UBF website.
Siblings hold two UBF world titles at the same time
On May 10, 2013, History was made as Cindy Serrano defeated Grecia Nova in the first round via KO, with the win she joined sister Amanda Serrano as a world champion for the Universal Boxing Federation (UBF), the victory earned the Serrano sisters a place in Boxing and UBF history as two sisters holding a world title at the same time. The Serrano sisters join Wladimir Klitschko and brother Vitali Klitschko on the accomplishment of being siblings and world champions at the same time. Cindy the super featherweight world champion and Amanda the featherweight world champion.

Universal Boxing Federation teams up with Buenas Cosas, a Guatemalan-based charity
On December 7, 2012 the Universal Boxing Federation announce that they has teamed up with [Buena Cosas http://www.buenascosas.org/], and will be donating to this nonprofit organization started by the women in Guatemala. The UBF hand-picked this charity, deciding to take 10 % of the sanctioning fees they collected from the month of November 2012 and donate it to this charity.
"Our first champion since our launch is Cindy Serrano," said Richard Spilotro of the UBF. "Obviously we support all women who fight in the ring or outside of the ring - these brave women of Buena Cosas are fighting to protect nature, and providing for their communities. It was only right we support this great organization." Additionally, the UBF will have Buenas Cosas plant trees in Guatemala in name of their champions and those who have perished to soon.

Adicionalmente, la UBF hará que Buenas Cosas plante árboles en Guatemala en nombre de sus campeones y aquellos que han fallecido muy jóvenes.
