Mike, remember to include the fight code whenever you add a bout comment.--Ric 23:55, 9 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Remember: "Fight Code"
Mike, once again, please remember, when creating a fight page, add the "fight code" at the very top of the page. The fight code is the fight number (which you can see at the top of any fight page) contained within "fight" code tags, like this: <fight>12345</fight>
The fight code will automatically insert the names of the boxers, result, location, and date. You can then add other text and images. You can get other instructions and help here. --Ric 14:24, 8 January 2007 (CST)
You are still forgetting to enter the fight code, Mike. --Ric 12:00, 15 March 2008 (CDT)
Jack Dempsey vs. Jess Willard Edit
Ric -- I deleted it with the idea to editing the entire post, which is based soley on secondary sources from the ring.
Lots of what is said is not true or unsupported or skewed.
I think the whole essay needs an overhaul.
Also, I am not so sure it is true.
ps -- i ahve finally been adding fight code!
Great! Glad you got the hang of the "fight code," Mike! Now if we can only get you to "learn the ropes" of messaging back and forth in this Wiki, like I'm doing now. Currently, you are editing your own Wiki "talk/discussion" page when replying to a message to you, rather than creating a comment or reply in the "Talk" section of MY Wiki page (or to whomever sent you a message). (When you post something in MY Wiki page, I get a "flag" that something haas been posted there.) To do this, click on my name link, immediately after this message, then click on the "Discussion" or "Talk" section of my (or anyone's) page, and enter the message. Then, to post YOUR "signature" to you message, as I do after every post I make, click on that squiggly blue button second-from-the-right at the top of every Wiki page.
