Arnaldo Mesa (born December 6, 1967) won the silver medal for his native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. In the final of the Bantamweight (– 54kg) division he was defeated by Hungary's Istvan Kovacs. Mesa won two Pan American Games gold medals, in Havana 1991 and in Mar del Plata 1995. , Mesa also has three World Championships bronze medals and he is a five time national champion in Cuba.

Mesa passed away at the age of 46 on December 17, 2012, in Holguin, Cuba, several days after being hospitalized for a stroke.
