The National Golden Gloves also known as the Golden Gloves of America is a yearly American boxing tournament which originally was the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions which was discontinued after the 1961 tournament. From 1962 to 1963 it was known as the United States Golden Gloves, with fighters participating from the eastern states. In 1964 it became known as the National Golden Gloves (Golden Gloves of America), with combatants representing their districts fighting the best fighters in the country.
