In the main event of an eight bout fight card at the Genting Group's Resorts New World Casino Aqueduct Raceway, the second such boxing card at this location Maddalone knocked out Byron 'The Bear' Polley in the third round. Maddalone knocked down Polley in the first, second and third round. Polley got up three times, and was game to fight. Polley's entire game was to pin Maddalone on the ropes, hold one rope with his left hand illegally, while attempting to bully and maul Maddalone with his right hand. Referee Shada Murdaugh got Polley holding the ropes while hitting, and Polley's only other attempt was to throw a punch or two and hold. Maddalone drew Polley into center ring, and hit him with power shots while staying out of range. Polley tried to hang on, but after taking a brutal beating, an exhausted and battered Polley slumped backwards to the canvas as his legs went after a power punch barrage from Maddalone.
