New York Golden Gloves Champion

Forest Ward won two New York Golden Gloves Championships. Ward won the 1966 175lb Open Championship and the 1967 Heavyweight Open Championship. Ward defeated Houston Williams of the Police Athletic Leagues Howard Houses in the finals to win the 1966 175lb Open Championship and in 1967 Ward stopped(RSC-3) Thomas Connelly in the finals to win the 1967 Heavyweight Open Championship.

Ward won the 1967 Pan American Heavyweight Championship and the 1967 National AAU Heavyweight champion.
