Name: Hymie Wiseman
Hometown: Des Moines, Iowa, USA
Boxing Record: click

Hymie Wiseman had been a mid-west amateur bantamweight champion before embarking on his professional career. He spent most of his career fighting out of the Mid-West--rarely venturing west of Iowa or east of Chicago. For two months in 1931 Wiseman was ranked by The Ring magazine as the #9 featherweight in the world. It also appears from the historical record that Wiseman was never knocked out in his boxing career. He was a stablemate of boxers Louis Mays and brother fighters Henry and Vale Falegano. Wiseman became a boxing manager and was reputed to be involved with Mafia activities in the Mid-West after retiring from boxing.
