1990-02-17 : John David Jackson 153¾ lbs fought without result Martin Camara 152 lbs by NC in round 11 of 12

  • WBO Light Middleweight title (Jackson's 2nd defense)

Having run out of gas, Jackson was hurt by a left hook to the chin in round 11. While trying to clinch he was shoved to the floor by his opponent and the referee ruled it a knockdown. After Jackson rose at the count of 9 there were 10 seconds to go in the round, but the referee believed the round had ended and sent the fighters to their corners. Camara and his corner, however, believe to have been declared the winner and the ring was invaded by supporters. After realizing his mistake, the referee ordered the ring cleared and the remaining 10 seconds of the round were fought. After round 11 Camara refused to continue, believing he should have been declared the winner.
