Biography

Kelly Pavlik, known as "The Ghost," grew up on Youngstown's south side and graduated from Lowellville High School and Mahoning County Joint Vocational School in 2000. After a long amateur career, he signed with Bob Arum's Top Rank Boxing. He is currently managed by Jack Loew of Youngstown's South Side Boxing Gym.

  • 2001-06-08 - Scored a 2nd Round TKO victory over Grady Brewer, a fighter who would go on to win ESPN's Contender Season II.
  • 2005-10-07 - Defeated Fulgencio Zuniga by a 9th Round TKO to secure the vacant NABF Middleweight Title.
  • 2006-07-27 - Successfully defended his NABF Middleweight Title with a 6th Round TKO over former Light Middleweight Champion, Bronco McKart.
  • 2007-05-19 - Defeated highly-touted and ranked Edison Miranda by 7th Round TKO in a WBC Middleweight Title Eliminator.
