World Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee

Luis Magana did the Spanish language publicity for the Olympic Auditorium from the late 1930s to 1984, when he was considered the right-hand man for promoter Aileen Eaton, before moving to Boston, MA, where, as of 2005, he still resided. He was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame, "Expanded Category" (Writers & Historians & Photo Journalists), as well as into the California Boxing Hall of Fame. He died March 28, 2008, at age 97.
