Manus Boonjumnong

Manus Boonjumnong (Born: June 23, 1980) of Thailand, won the Light Welterweight gold medal in the 2004 Olympic Games, and the silver medal in the same class in 2008. Boonjumnong has a brother Non Boonjumnong who is a top amateur in the welterweight class.

2004 Olympic Results (as a Light welterweight)

  • 2006 Gold medalist at Light welterweight at Asian games in Doha, Qatar.
  • 2007 competed as a Light welteweight at World Amateur championships in Chicago, losing his opening round match to Masatsugu Kawachi of Japan on a 14-9 decision. Boonjumong qualified for the 2008 Olympic games as a Light welterweight, and was his countrys flagbearer.
