Michael 'Sweet T' Torres (born December 8, 1984 in Yonkers, New York) is a three time New Jersey Golden Gloves (2001, 2002 and 2003) and Northeastern Amateur Boxing Champion in the Junior Welterweight division (2001) now campaigning as a professional boxer in the Junior Welterweight division. Torres was ranked as high as the #2 Junior Welterweight amateur in the under 19 category in the United States, losing in 2001 in the semifinals of the National Golden Gloves in Las Vegas by decision, and losing in the finals of the National Amateur championship in Louisiana in 2002, again by decision.

His professional record is now 11-0. His most recent ring appearance was an eight round decision over Gilberto Vera in San Antonio, Texas, on May 30, 2008. Torres is trained by Johnny Persol, a world ranked light heavyweight contender in the 1960's with wins over former champions Eddie Cotton, Harold Johnson and Bobo Olson. Persol is ranked # 103 Light Heavyweight of all-time on Boxrec.

Torres has a two year old son, Evan, with whom he is very close.
