  • July 17, 2009 - Appeared in the main event of ESPN Friday Night Fights and scored a split decision upset victory over top ten ranked and undefeated lightweight Breidis Prescott 21-0 (18 KOs). For his victory, Vazquez was ranked the # 8 lightweight in the world according to The Ring Magazine.
  • June 28, 2008 - Vazquez was defeated for the 3rd time in his professional career with a unanimous decision loss in a rematch with Saul Alvarez 19-0-1 (15 KOs).
  • June 5, 2008 - Defeated Aldo Valtierra 24-9 (13 KOs) by 11th Round TKO to earn the WBC FECARBOX Light Welterweight Title.
