Miles Burke was the silver medalist in the Flyweight (47.63 kg / 105 lb) class at the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis. Burke was stopped by George Finnegan, the only other athlete competing in the weight class. Apparently, Burke weighed 108 pounds for the bout, three pounds over the weight limit, but was still allowed to compete, perhaps because no other opponent could be found.
