One of the two corners of a boxing ring not assigned to either boxer during a bout. Also referred to as a "white corner" in some countries: the corners of the ring where there are no chairs or members of any boxer's team. Since the late 1920s, in virtually all jurisdictions, after a boxer has knocked down his opponent, he is required to go immediately to a neutral corner while the referee tolls the count.
