Paul DeVorce won two New York Golden Gloves Championships. DeVorce won both the 1975 112lb Sub Novice Championship and the 1977 112lb Open Championship. DeVorce defeated Henry Brent of the New York City Recreation Department in the finals to win the 1977 Championship. DeVorce was defeated by Jimmy McNeece of the Islip Recreation Gym in the finals of the 1976 112lb Open Championship. In the 1979 118lb Open Championship Devorce lost on points to Hector Camacho of the LaSombra Sporting Club.

1977 representing New York won the 112 lb. Intercity Golden Gloves' championship.
