Harpst, an award-winning artist and boxing trainer, designed the 12-inch tall bronze sculpture entitled "The Prizefighter" that is awarded to every inductee into the World Boxing Hall of Fame since its 2004 ceremony.

Some of Harpst's pieces have been featured in such television shows and movies as "When Billy Beat Bobby," "All-Star Boxing," "City of Hope," and "Antwone Fisher." He has also designed awards for Telemundo Television.

Harpst founded the Burbank Boxing Club in 1996.

He was inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame in 2008: [1].
