1996-11-30 : Wladimir Klitschko 221 lbs beat Exum Speight 207½ lbs by TKO at 1:54 in round 2 of 4

  • Location: Nova Arena, Wiener Neustadt, Austria

Wladimir Klitschko floored journeyman Exum Speight three times in the second round to improve to 2-0 with 2 knockouts.

Klitschko began to land near the end of the opening round and hurt Speight in the final seconds.

A Klitschko flurry just fourteen seconds into the second round sent the American down for a two-count. Just under a minute later, a right hand sent Exum down curiously and, despite getting up quickly, it appeared he had little interest making a fight of it. A series of lefts and rights finished it for Klitschko as Exum went down in a heap for the the final time.
