  • First heavyweight title unification since Lewis-Holyfield II in 1999
  • Ibragimov appeared to be knocked down as a Klitschko combo had him held up by only the ropes but referee Wayne Kelly did not rule it a knockdown
  • A big part of Ibragimov's blows, which were counted by CompuBox as "Power Punches", have been Bodyshots
  • Data Boxing reported that Ibragimov led in controls(mainly moving in) 104 to 78. There was a 50-50% split in the Events Per Round(Attempts + Controls) of 71. This was the lowest EPR activity in a Klitschko bout since 48 vs Williamson in 2004. He usually varies from 76 vs Castillo to 137 vs Brewster II.
