Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Anthony Joshua II | PPV - 22 February 2025
Nice story from Kevin Mitchell, after his brother died on a motorbike age 31, when Joshua called him “He [called me] and said, ‘Is your mum there? Can I speak to her, please?’ We’re all worried about burying my brother, how will we get money, we’ve all got mortgages to pay and no one’s working. I w...

it's just started pissing it down here in east London. is there a roof on in Wembley? No roof, few storm cells about on the radar…. Might wanna hurry up (looks to me like they will dodge em for another hour or so but shit I’m 15000km away and have zero knowledge of London weather) Wonder how long t...

you will prob get filled at 1.13 on Betfair, or you can take 1.12 now. £509 return (1.13) so an extra £109 for your stated £4k bet after the 2% commisson. I sometimes wander onto WallStreetBets sub on reddit, and there moderators delete posts where the poster doesn't upload a copy of their trade. Go...

Re: Bookies & Boxing
The betting market (led by Betfair) in running - seems to take the TV pundits scorecard as near definative! Often there's value if the pundits scorecard is way off and can pay to try to score the fights yourself. Profits in running can be lucrative. I bet less and less now as I watch less and less, ...

Re: SKY SPORTS VALUE FOR MONEY?
NB - The Horse racing channel on 415 isn't part of SkySports pack, it's a different package, as I don't have Sky Sports but have got the Sky Sports Racing. This used to be called At The Races. EuroSport is on the same package I think, I love to watch the Tour De France. There is an additional horse ...

I'd like to see him fight Chris Eubank Jr again.
I used to be a fan, but his antics put me off unfortunately. I previously went to Manchester to see him beat Andy Lee, though got 2 free tickets from the BocksNation twitter - they hadn't sold the upper seats anyhow.

Lennox (thought he was boring, not really British etc. Think he's a diamond now.) Froch (thought he was boring, slow and hittable. Became one of most exciting fighters we've had in my time around boxing and I'll forgive him some of his more arrogant moments as he's always been a bit of a troll and ...

It's 33/1 on the Betfair exchange (they deduct 2% of any winnings) - Says it all that this PPV headline has only matched £28k as of now, what dross we get served up now.ShadrachSimmo wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 14:16 The draw looks good @ 20-1 in the main event tonight. Not much value in any of the other fights.

Re: Prince Patel
There is something a bit compelling about Prince Patel. It's funny to watch the whole thing from when he was getting fired by UK promoters onto his passport stamp years. He is quite articulate here - and he is correct that he does generate youtube views. There's a bit of an emotional vulnerability t...

What time does everyone think the ring walk will be? 4am UK is 10pm Texas - can't imagine theyll have it go off too late with CV19 and all that? I try to time these things right as I can wake up once and that's it! Alarm clock and sofa jobbie!

I used to like the buzz of PPVs - £15 was all right. £25 too greedy. I sacked off Sky Sports sub year ago. I get access to watch Darts/boxing on brothers online sub so sometimes watch that. Wont renew it.

Think right stopage at this stage in career. Hopefully he'll cash out now, should have retired after the Spence fight really, hasn't looked the same since.

Listened to build up on Talksport and comms on 5Live. Didn't feel this was a PPV. The "headline" should be supporting to someting bigger/better IMO.

Cancelled Sky Sports a while back. May do NowTV sports for a month in Dec for darts. Used to love BocksNation but cancelled that when BT thing happened. Sky even without sports is expensive enough.

Anyone know what Carl Thompson is up to now? Seems a balanced guy. I found a few short articles via Google which are mainly reflections on Haye, Nelson and Eubank fights.

I think they need to up the Ante. In the recent video Mick Theo is obviously driving around in a fancy Range Rover. John Fury is now the proud owner of a Bedford Rascal. They should put the car keys in a bowl (not in a suburban 1970's style....) and winner of the fight takes the other's prized wheels.

Cancelled when the FW fights went onto BT. Was very good at it's peak. Always challenging to make a 1 sport tv channel work, but Racing Channel seems to be a viable channel at £20 a month (I've subscribed for years) - would be interested to see how viewing figures differentiate between horse racing ...

Serious question, my mate did one of those geneology things and sent it off and it came back he was 5% from Nigeria.
