Re: Widest ever score after 12 rounds ?

tthe judge who gave eubank a 120-109 against lindell holmes needed shooting. lindell cleanly took 4-5rnds of that.

the judge who gave eubank a 118-109 against graziano rocchigiani needed hanging, as rocchi clearly took 5-6rnds!

Re: Eubank Sr on Training

eubank was a great trainer. he stretched to a sweat, shadow-boxed more intense than any other fighter i've ever seen and always stood toe2toe in sparring. he was also really good on the speedbag!

Yeah because dozens or hundreds of people have seen this... compared to the 10's of millions who'd see him in Olympics.

he's the only fighter mccallum has been prepared to devout spare time to, so he can't be a bad kid. and can't be a bad prospect. mccallum's acting almost like a mentor, giving him pep talks when he gets in trouble at school, and stuff. eubank sr believes in mentorship because he had one when he went...

apparently eubank sr said, 'son, lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice!' and eubank jr is determined to prove him wrong! for what its worth, he's very laidback and quiet, and speaks the queens english (when he does speak). he doesn't drink or smoke, finishes us high school in the summer a...

eubanks footwork sucked going forward, but looked pretty going back and around. he had the reflexes to get away with throwing rights from out of range (usually to the body) most often, can't say it wasn't effective but certainly not textbook skill and i doubt he learned that from any trainer, just c...

calzaghe hasn't been trained by a proper boxing trainer, and eubank wasn't british-schooled-he was actually american-schooled and claims he would never of got anywhere if he started boxing in britain! there's a quote in an old boxing monthly from 1991 where eubank says 'from what i've seen in englan...

there'd be extreme excitement!

obviously the calzaghe who fought lacy beats benn easily. nigel was made for that joe.

talk about a dream fight scenario for british boxing! this is it!

no way on earth would this go 10 rounds. i'd have to go with benn, because calzaghe was too wild back then, his punches too wide and benn's hooks would get in. maybe 2-3 rounds.

Can anyone tell me anymore about this incident with Eubank and Naz at heathrow? naz taunted him saying 'look at my belts chris, look at my belts' and called him a w-anker, as eubank was walking along trying to ignore him. eubank grabbed naz belts and threw them across the airport, and went to slap ...

Chris often lunged in, I mean just look at the first Benn fight which was supposed to be still his best performance all along, he just lunged in all the time. And most of the right hands he threw were very long and missed. On the rare occasions he would step in and let off a sneak right hand and mo...

eubanks had a very weird left hand that he called a jab, but it was extremely effective. also great physical strength, good reflexes and could be very slick.

he might of won the first 3-4 rounds against anyone, anyone at all.

the four greatest post-war british boxers that stand out are benn, lewis, hatton and calzaghe, and you can make a case for each of them. but benn after the mcclelland fight was thee greatest post-war british boxer at that point, no question imo. it has to be the greatest win in british boxing histor...

benn brought the year 2001 to the year 1989, he really boomed british boxing like no other and nothing will ever compare as far as i'm concerned. u could walk past any pub in the country when a benn fight was on and all you'd hear was 'go on, nige! come on nige!'. we'll never get those days back, am...
