Re: Roy Jones Jr. Vs Floyd mayweather @154
Jones Jr, Hearns and Ray Leonard are about the only boxers, past or present, that I see beating Floyd at light middle. Floyd too slick and too good defensively to be beaten by anyone else.

Re: Brook v Khan
Khan has no interest fighting Brook right now - he would see it as a step back, and a massive risk to his status as the leading light in the UK at the weight. Brook seems a lot stronger at the weight than Khan, and is a better more skilfull operator. Khan really has little more than physical gifts ...

Re: Buglioni/Chudinov for the title - WHO WINS?
I wish him well, but Frank has bitten off more than he can chew with this one. He struggled with Markham and Chudinov is more accurate and skilful than Markham. He'll be stopped late.
He could do with a few more testing fights before stepping up like this.

Re: Jorge Linares -review.
Mitchell was at his absolute best, and he couldn't do it, I fear a similar result, in shorter time, if there is a rematch. Sorry. Give the lad the benefit of the doubt - it was a 50/50 fight up until that round and it was injuries persuaded the ref to stop it. Linares is a class act for sure, but M...

Being the 'best' and the 'undisputed' in the division are different things.ikorolev wrote:Yes, I knew that most of them were not formally undisputed, but I still listed boxers universally considered to be the men in their divisions.

Re: Carl Froch Vs Gennady Golovkin In Talks For September
In terms of scoring judges aren't affected by the condition of fighters' faces. Casual fans might get swayed by the sight of blood or swelling, but not judges.ikorolev wrote:If you think that judges are not influenced by how fighters' faces look, you are a fool.

Re: Congrats to DeGale...
You can indeed - Mayweather does it all the time - but DeGale didn't do that. He lost those rounds he coasted. It was his inactivity that made the fight much closer than it needed to be.Tony1244 wrote:True, he coasted, but you can coast and still win rounds.

Re: Does Lee Selby beat Walters?
Selby hasn't got the power to keep off the big punchers. The pitter-patter combinations won't work at the top level without the power. When fighters walk onto his shots, Selby has decent enough power. He wobbled tough-as-old-boots Gradovich and nailed Smith. But the deciding factor could be Selby's...

Re: John Ryder: a touch unlucky or exposed?
Yeah you had Watt taking over for Malignaggi and Jamie Moore (whos been used in the past) on a different channel. Sky really need to change who they use, Watt and Hawling gotta go for me. Use Jamie Moore, Alex Arthur a lot more. Yeah, Alex Arthur gets my vote, too. As Ryder was no longer defending ...

Haye vs Klitchko, too. I can see how a busted little toe would hamper you in the ring, but my God does it sound like a shite excuse.

Re: Where now for Kevin Mitchell?
Mitchell will get a rematch with Linares, and on that performance he deserves it. He was up on the cards and those facial injuries, which were pretty awful, were the primary reason it was stopped. He could have carried on. These close, evenly matched fights between two skillful boxers are the reason...
