Re: Bika DQed in 1 minute
If Bika stayed in the states I'm sure he could a few more big undercard fights. I wonder how much of the contender dough he has left?

Re: Bika DQed in 1 minute
Marcel Cerdan lost four fights in his career of over 100 fights. Two were disqualifications before he became World Middleweight champion. Roy Jones Junior lost one of his first 50 fights, when he lost his light heavyweight title to Montell Griffith via DQ. He regained the title in a rematch and wen...

Re: Daniel Geale v Danny Green @ Light Heavy who wins?
Green at his peak would have given a lot of LHW a run for their money. Green at his peak was several years in the past though and just like Mundine he wasted his best years in Australia. Green and Mundine should have followed the example of Tszyu and gone to the states and fought the best. EDIT: Eve...

Mundine is a tight arse boxer but he is a very generous guy. He gives a lot of his money away, this wouldn't surprise me if it was true.

Re: Green v Briggs called off?
I hope this is a sign of things to come regarding sanctioning. Aussie boxing is dying because of all of these ridiculous mismatches, the sooner the tell fighters like Mundine to actually fight a credible opponent the better.

I don't know I can see why this wasn't sanctioned. Briggs ahsn't fought in 3 years plus he looked like absolute crap in his last outing.

I think that you need to win a WBA or WBC belt in different divisions to be considered a real champion. Or at least WBO or IBF. None of this IBO crap.

More like Mundine has several packets of Laxitives to deal with. The guy is going to be fighting for an IBO strawweight title in the next 12 months.Marlin wrote:I'm just glad that we'll never find out beacuse Green has bigger fish to fry and Mundine has more Argie immigration papers to deal with...

I agree with him, it would be better for Green to fight someone closer to their prime like Adamek or Dawson. Apparently though he said he wasn't interested in a Dawson fight.Marlin wrote:How good was it when Green said he didn't give three sh*ts about Hopkins... insignificant!

Re: Undercard started
How did Tomlinson look putting Kimbrough away in three? He looked really good but it was a rough fight. They nearly came to blows after the bell at the end of 2nd. To be honest, Kimbrough didn't look anything special but I have never seen him fight before, it might have been the fact he was fightin...

Mundine is like the Anti-Pacquaio. Moves down in weight the older he gets and avoids good fighters.2doggs wrote:IBO baby, Jan 11, Contender finale.

Re: Where have all the australian boxing fans gone?
I am so sick of the complete mismatches that I have really lost a lot of interest in Australian boxing. I still watch a lot of US and Euro fights but Aussie fighters, especially Mundine have totally turned me off the Aussie scene. They fight outmatched opponents for interim or IBO or WBF straps and ...

My son is half aboriginal and has blonde hair and blue eyes. You can't always tell by the looks of someone. It also can depend on weather they identify as aboriginal or not. A lot of people choose not to.adamheight wrote:can someone tell me how geale is aboriginal?

Before voting, have a read of this http://www.watoday.com.au/sport/entourage-upstage-the-man-on-fight-night-20090528-bot3.html That is fornicating BULLSHIT! The fight should be a NC. Or DQ win for Geale. What happened to the rules regarding entourages after the Alomar-Kickett fiasco, I thought they...

I thought Mundine by 1 round, and I don't like him as a person. He fought a great fight but jeez he's hard to warm to.
