Manny has a better resume--although he has far too many unnecessary rematch to my liking.
Sweet Pea would probably edge out a decision in their primes.

Re: The next opponent for Thurman ?
As much as i want to see him fight the brook/spence winner, the smarter decision would be to beat his mandatory (whoever the hell it is), to milk the belts and get some more publicity and money by facing the khan/pacquiao winner. The reason? Pacquiao is nearly 40. He looked good against vargas, buuu...

Which is why I specifically wrote " two guys of the same calibre " in the post above. I know what calibre means. Im saying unless its a video game youre never gonna get two fighters who are completely equal in EVERY catgory i mentioned, there will always be some x factors. Hmm, most likel...

If you still think all Floyd does is "run" and "hug" in 2017 and you've (supposedly) been watching matches for years, then you are simply unintelligent.

Re: Keith Thurman ... Hipster
Yes Thurman and Moore are eerily similar. Powerful, but crafty. Cerebral, a little eccentric. Student of the game and aware of its history and intricacies. Thurman is on the verge of becoming a legend. Stays disciplined and in shape between fights and isnt afraid to take on all comers. Can slug it o...

Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
I give khan a shot. -He performs brilliantly against southpaws -he has a significant reach and height advantage -he has the x factor of being motivated to beat pac and become a bigger name as a result (maybe even hoping to lure mayweather out) -both have sparred before and khan looked good in some s...

This is the qualifier that the nostalgic fans choose to ignore. So for YET ANOTHER time lets try to get the record straight. It is your choice whether you chose to ignore it ( like the nostalgia freaks ) or take it on board. NO ONE has claimed pure size beats exceptionally good fighters. What they ...

If you think modern giants can beat older heavies, fine, but your argument cant only be because "theyre bigger" because there are many examples of smaller or medium sized heavies beating giant ones. Plenty of giants of the past hit hard too. You cant have it both ways. Either you think wl...

Well wilt chamberlain had zero amateur experience but now he's p4p one of the greatest heavyweights ever. Move over Ken Norton, you arent the only heavyweight champion to never beat a world champion!

Doubt it. Chavez is big and strong but doesnt jave his dads warrior spirit. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise us and give us a thrilling war.elmersalsa wrote:Will Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr will come close to that fight of Erik Morales vs Marco Antonio Barrera I?

Re: Small heavyweights vs Medium Sized Heavyweights
Theres a reason hes mostly sticking with b and a level opponents. Guys over 6'4 are rare inside and outside the ring. Its east for carnera and valueve to find 50 tomato cans who are under 6'1 and weigh far less than them. That would severely skew the news.

Re: Prime Muhammad Ali vs. a prime Larry Holmes?
Ali had a higher ko% than larry. And its true, he did like to toy with guys even if he had them hurt or knocked them down to "give people their moneys worth". Jack Johnson would do the same thing and "carry" a guy. Look at his bout with buster mathis where he just shakes his head...

Why am i not surprised. Kalan says ali cant be that fast because of his performance against larry holmes at 38 years of age and suffering from parkinsons...lmao. Re: ALI AND HIS LOOKS.
Hmm...perhaps it had something to do with the fact he was one of the fastest and most evasive heavyweights...? Ali knew how to slip with punches and react at the last second. He often would not let his opponents get the chance and they had to go at the body. Hmmm... Ali wasn't that fast or evasive....

Re: Joe Louis vs. Mike Tyson
Weight is not a valid argument if fighter A beat several guys who were heavier than fighter B. Tyson being 10 or 15 lbs heavier than Joe was on average is not going to give him an enormous advantage. You cant have it both ways. If "weight" and size are your primary arguments then Joe would...

Re: Thurman/Garcia In Jeopardy
I'd say it's pretty obvious at this point that Angel has some mental issues. I don't blame Danny. I'm sure he is sitting there hoping his dad will just STFU. But, it's his dad. He's learned patience and poise because of his father, I'm sure. With that said, it will be interesting to see how his dad...

If youre still unaware/ignoring of the fact kovalev initiated most of the clinches because he cant fight on the inside then i cant trust you to score fights.
