Yeah the Tyson win over Lewis in 95 is probably the least likely of the outcomes I chose for all those hypo fights that should have happened. But I was partially basing it on the fact that if I assumed 2 fights took place between Lewis and Tyson between 95-97 (which I did), that Tyson would catch Le...

Oh I agree that Tyson was intimidated going into the 2nd fight. I'm just saying from the outside looking in before that fight, we didn't know that was the case. That is part of why their 2nd fight is so disappointing. At least Tyson in the first fight finished the fight. But on paper, the 2nd fight ...

WHAT IF.....90s HWs - Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, or Lewis?
Jezzamundo's excellent question got me thinking to ask the following..... What would have happened to the 90s era HWs IF ......................... 1. Tyson was acquitted (which he should have been), stayed focused on boxing, and perhaps hired Kevin Rooney back 2. Holyfield didn't have any health pro...

Great question - Warning - this is a long post To me you picked the 3 biggest missed heavyweights fights of the 90s . Those are the 3 fights that absolutely could have happened but didn't. Where as a fight like Bowe/Tyson and Holyfield/Lewis earlier were not that close to happening. Holyfield/Tyson ...

More Disappointing Fight - Holy/Tyson II or DLH/Trinidad?
So which was the more disappointing fight - Holyfield/Tyson II or DLH/Trinidad? To me they were probaby the two most disappointing fights of the 90s. They both were supposed to be two huge events for the sport. I think DLH/Trinidad was the more disappointing fight ultimately because it was two unde...

I think no matter who would have won this fight, both fighter's legacy/stock would be higher If Holyfield wins, it legitimizes him much earlier as a great fighter and a legitimate heavyweight. This also raises the profile even more of the early 90s heavies, particuarly Bowe. Plus it would give Holy...

Nov. 8, 1991 - Holyfield v. Tyson - Who would have won?
November 8th, 1991 - Holyfield/Tyson Hello, as a first time poster I am curious as to the boxrec forum's opinion as to who would have won this fight. Did we miss out on an all time classic fight that would have really settled the debate as to who was the greater heavyweight? What if Iron Mike Tyson...
