This is exactly what Calzaghe cried about for years with Collins, lol. Collins said he couldn't get up for unproven Calzaghe because he wanted R.J.J for millions. Calzaghe talked about Craig Cummings etc. Well, what was Peter Manfredo- nothing upto Carl Froch. Its funny how things turn out.

"I class Roy Jones as the number one, and I want that position. He's phenomenally quick. He might hit me more times than Gerald McClellan did, but he damn sure isn't going to hit me any harder." -Nigel Benn(1995) Hall of Famer for sure.

Ah,it was in reference to Mike McCallum, maybe just trying to emphasise how damaging bodyshots are. Benn said this:"There is a lot of talk about me fighting Mike McCallum. But if I fight McCallum, I want to get paid very, very well indeed. He's the kind of fighter who can leave you with a lot of...

One thing I always raised an eyebrow at was Benn saying that he could take Roy Jones punch alday or something along those lines. Certainly can't go with that. I'lllook for the quote, wait there.

Jackson Kayos sent chills down your spine, and that vid doesn't show it but the guy Roy Jones Kayo'd with that seemingly-nothing right-hand,that guys eyes rolled to the back of his head, and it was pretty damn scarey. Benn was just a beast.

Lets not under estimate Watts win over Howard Davis jr.,who was supposed to never lose. Huge underdog going into that was Jim,and giving away an awful lot in terms of natural talent.

Steve was a 16-fight kid against the legendary Body Snatcher and went nearly 50.50 with him after 5 rounds of anxiety, from round 6 on. Steve is a great fighter, fought top class guys in theirbackyards in questionable decs and repeated doses on both Eubank & Benn just for confirmation, sending both...

Who is Joe Calzaghe

Annoying,American article I found http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=15244&more=1 Pencils Down! Joe Calzaghe vs. the WBO belt 15.04.08 - by J. Kitchen: Given the tremendous hype surrounding their upcoming Light Heavweight duel, it seems a little strange to me that more boxing journalists a...

Napoles was more like Nigel Benn than Eubank, the way he let his punches go. Eubank was more like Hedgeman Lewis. (Anyway,Napoles,he was as smooth as butter!) One thing that Eubank relied upon that I've not seen another fighter use as much or as effectively was body sways. He was regularly swaying hi...

The thing is,Collins was effective. Reggie Johnson was as slick as a greaseball back then, and Collins while looking shite actually arguably beat him(most people felt Johnson beat Toney). Collins is a peculiar one!

Benn wasn't a massive massive puncher like McClellan or Jul Jackson. He was a big puncher, just not the biggest. When you think about it,the only guy he actually KOd who was near world class was Robbie Sims, and that shot wasn't through power,he just turned his shoulder into a short left hook off the ...

I do think McClellan would of beaten Benn if he was in the right shape, mentally and physically. He was basically just better at everything than Nigel. But I give Benn immense credit for winning it,he was getting under McClellans tired long shots and coming up with his hooks and short cross,McClellan...

Re: Naz has a better record than Calzaghe

Hamed cleaned up all four belts with KO's and fought lb4lbers at MSG and MGM (Kelley, Barrera) all in his mid-20's Whats the obsession with America and these venues, though? And for the record, neither Kelley or Marco were in the magazine 'pound for pound' when they fought Nazeem. I could argue Joe C...

Eubank hints at Calzaghe lacking skill? "That (Dan Schommer) is the only fight I believe I lost despite the decision going my way, and it was wholly down to the technical ability of Mr Schommer. He was always just out of range, so when I struck I missed and he would always counter. If I was sc...
