Re: 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES LONDON - Schedule and Results [R]
In 2004 Britain only qualified one boxer Amir Khan.We changed our whole structure with Performance Directors,Elite and Development squads, proper funding and support staff. In 2012 we qualified 10,it can be done. Uhmm... You are aware that the British boxers didn't need to qualify, right? I agree tha...

Take a look at the Russian Federation and all the camps and competitions their boxers attend. That is the #1 team in the world and we could learn a lot from them Russia's program is 100% supported by the government. We are the only country in boxing that is NOT supported by the government . Russia'...

Re: AMATUER DRAFT
Sounds Like there trying to take over pro boxing. My question would be want dose the Boxer get Paid? (For those who get picked) if they intend to have fighters wearing headgear, there is NO CHANCE this thing will EVER rival pro boxing or provide any serious competition to the pro game!! They...

Re: World Championships 09
The report about Cammarelle's bout says it was a left jab. He is a southpaw so my guess is that he threw a left cross. That is his money punch as it is the same punch he KO'd the Cuban with in the Italy vs Cuba dual this year. Cammarelle obviously has some power. You can see that a lot of the oppon...

Re: World Championships 09
It's going to be a rematch of the Olympics 91+ kg match between Cammarelle of Italy and Zhang of China in the finals of the worlds. Cammarelle won 1-0. Must of been an exciting match to watch  We'll see how much Zhang's training in the US paid off since it looks like he is going pro with the ...

It seems completely ridiculous to me, to start something like this, and leave out half the weight divisions... leaving out the fighters from 60-69kg??? Bat shit crazy, if you ask me.

Yes, and thank you! Now if he can only find a way to beat Culcay (who he's lost to thrice, last time by a mere 11-9), he's in the medals!locoxelbox wrote:Congratulations punchdrunk! Aren't you Keller's coach?

Re: World Championships 09
Go back and read my posts. The only boxer that I thought won clearly and didn't get the decision was Magdaleno. Caferro - I though he should have been given more points and maybe he would have won as it would have affected the course of the bout. I am pro USA but I am not that biased to think all o...

Geez, what's that supposed to mean? Did you even see the fight? Every time an American fighter has lost, Dennis thinks they got screwed, so maybe you should direct that comment towards him...Kolya wrote:therealPunchDrunk wrote:I disagree wholeheartedly.

Re: World Championships 09
I realize the Americans haven't caught on to the amateur rules and scoring yet, what I don't understand is why they don't try to adapt? Good question. It is a big country and very hard to get all of the coaches on the same page. You could walk into a big gym like Gleasons in New York City and find ...
