Only in a world where these guys fought ten times more often than they do. Otherwise it's just taking away time from new matchups.

They don't give Lomachenko benefit of the doubt in close fights, and he's Ukranian.

Re: Who is Fighter of the Year for 2023?

Inuoe by a wide margin. Probably Crawford next, maybe Haney. Then Navarrete, who won three title fights and his win over Valdez was particularly impressive. Bam Rodriguez, winning a flyweight belt and then beating up Edwards to unify also would be up there. Why are people saying Parker? Are you tal...

Re: Wilder Vs Joshua March 9th (ESPN)

Personally, my interest in seeing Joshua-Wilder never depended on the idea that either of them was unbeatable. We'd already seen Wilder get beaten half to death by Fury twice, Joshua get knocked silly by Ruiz, Joshua get outboxed by Usyk twice... I mean, they both could have lost today, it doesn't m...

The blood was the only thing that made that fight look competitive. Fury won about ten rounds.

When did Joshua pass Fury in the heavyweight rankings? I swear I checked after the Helenius fight and saw that he was #2, and that was just a few days ago.

Re: Ratings - please read before commenting

How is Teofimo Lopez "inactive" and not ranked at Super Light ? He just won 1.5 months ago, and he beat the #2 guy ? He declared his retirement ... I don't think declarations should be figured into these things at all. Guys say all kinds of things. It should just strictly be like if they'...

Re: Crawford vs Canelo @ 165 lbs

Saw an interview where Crawford was asked about this prospect and basically laughed it off. Which I thought was exactly the right thing to do, as it's a silly idea. I admit that my perspective is limited, but to me it seems like the career of Manny Pacquaio has distorted a lot of people's viewpoint ...

I just ran a prime v prime fight between them 10 times, using the whole numbers-and-stats system I'm dorkfully compiled.
1. Canelo by SD
2. GGG by MD
3. GGG by UD

Fury vs. one of those Youtube dorks would do a ton of money too... Money is really not the most interesting thing for fans to worry about.

Like, an alternate universe Floyd Mayweather Jr. who moved up and lost to Gennady Golovkin or Carl Froch. It'd be like... just move back down, dude, you're still the best fighter.

I don't think you should necessarily lose P4P status for every loss. Like if you jump up into a division you haven't fought in before to challenge a very good champion and you don't win that fight, I mean... nobody's ever going to be the best at every single weight class.

Re: Canelo ... Is the P4P No 1 crown teetering on his head ?

But in the SMW division depending on what's at stake you'll draw interest from 160 and 175. Cruiserweight, you're drawing attention from just Cruiserweights maybe LH, Heavyweights aren't coming down. It's just one of those divisions. I don't know, I just feel the P4P Number 1 spot shouldn't be sold...
